I need some help or advise. I have a half bull terrior and pit i think solid white two black eyes. I rescued her because they were going to kill her. Well she has anger issues in that when she is around other dogs she wants to kill them if they get an attitude. I mean kill, she attacked my moms cocker. She is loving with people and kids but hates dogs.I have other dogs and i want to get her to socialize is that possible?
For the Lab, Is it not the flood technique? ‘Having the dog face his fear’?
Old school!
this is good. many dogs are put to sleep for having scary but easily solved aggression problems. although, it takes a big heart to leet a dog bite you, glove or not ;}
Any one know how to deal with a dog who attackes you when you try to mave her by the collor i have had so many bites because of it. She bevhaves fin other times but not when i try to move her! I bleeding know because of it help!
Good boy Rocky!
Amazing.
that dog is still bad ass though he’s soooo feirce
I love this training, how do I get my rat terrier to accept my puppy who is 6 weeks into the pack, and not be teritrial over his things?
How do I deal with a territorial rat terrier. who is snapping and drawing blood on my 6 month old puppy
where did you get the gloves? what kind are they?
You shouldn’t have spanked the dog for peeing in the house to begin with, because now it associates you as someone to fear. It bites out of fear. Are you moving too fast for the dog’s comfort? Move more slowly and have a treat in your hand. Show your dog the treat and move slowly towards it saying, “Good boy.” When your dog looks mad, pull away. Every time it relaxes, tell it good boy and move closer with the treat showing. When you get close enough and your dog doesn’t growl, treat it.
“vetenarians are good!!” in the background. lol!!
this is amaizing!!!
I think your methods and philosophy (what can be seen from your website) are top notch. I will have to come see you guys in NY as I have been looking for a balance between the gamey hyperactive training I see in french ring, and the other methods like Koehler.
hehe i dealt with a food agressive white pit no joke when she growld at me i growld back and she totaly respected me never tried to bite weird i wasnt expecting that to happen but it worked lmao
Hm that could very well be.. Does she have a favorite toy, or bed at home? If so take that to a park or sidewalk to help make it more “Homey”. If she still doesn’t eat the treats, maybe its not stress, but something medical..?
More then likely she is; but, I’ve been taking her out in public places to go for a walk for the past couple of years now (Going out a couple of times a week—or sometimes once a week or every other couple of weeks) and still won’t accept treats. If she does, it is very rare. And she won’t eat it unless she’s back in the car. So I do just walk her in those places, and don’t really worry about training her; so maybe she’s just too old, and wants to stay home now.
Nice work. Though I personally would have dealt with the food aggression differently. Your methods still worked.
Its nice to see a nice balanced training.
I agree that too many dogs are put down due to aggression, though not all people have the skills, or money to get the dog properly trained.
@rbaid161 Dogs don’t eat when they are stressed. So she could be stressed out. I would try taking her to those places and just walking, not training. Getting her used to different environments is the first step. Then you can start the real training.

and every one has been telling me to put him down…I don’t have the heart to do that…What would you suggest I do…Is he too far gone to be trained?
K91dogtraining…My dog is a shitzhu…10 yrs old…From the very first time we got him he started biting me…I believe it was because I smacked him on his behind because he peed in the house…Every since that he has been biting,..Only me though…He has bit me seriously about 6 times…Last night was the worse where I was giving him a kiss and he bit and held on to my nose and wouldn’t let go…I pinched his ears to get him off…I needed stitches…I feel so hopeless when it comes to him
For the safety of the public.
The dog should be on a leash when outside on a walk. Common sense.
lol i’d lauph if the dogs just jumps up and latched on to there face and not the glove LOL that would be hilarious
most people dont know that they can be used on very gentle and low levels to reinforce off-leash training. It is one of the tools i teach trainers to use – this tool can be easily abused.
