my dog barks every single time we leave the house. and he has a LOUD and high pitched bark so you know the neighbors just love that.
Ive tried getting him to stay and give him toys but every time when he realises were leaving the house he just corrupts into loud barking again

very good explanation. Do you feed the dog everytime you click or just sometimes?

My dog has started barking at people and other dogs walking by our house when she sits at the window. I was shocked because she never made a sound before, and it was only after a few months of sitting at the window she started doing this. Since her reaction is not to noise but to sight, how do you suggest I can apply this method to my situation?

  6. ItsRUFF says:

To the girl that made this video. I am so sorry. If you want, I will buy you a new washer and dryer. Do you need a new stove and vacume cleaner as well? You need to stick to using only those tools around the house.

  7. ItsRUFF says:

Opel, Whenever you get a new dog there is what is called the 21 day rule which will be explained better in my book coming out soon. When bringing a new dog home. Start with the training that minute. Let him/her know what is expected. After 21 days of being in your home. You will notice what type of personality will appear.

  8. ItsRUFF says:

Hey fool. It ain’t trainers that do that. Pay attention. Its the so called behaviorists that try this crapola.

  9. smoon3 says:

Myth busters did an episode on ways to stop an attack dog………..the steak was plausible. Use what works best on your dog.

  10. smoon3 says:

if she didn’t have a broken washing machine then she wouldn’t have this video to show what to do when a sound is setting your dog off.

  11. kikopup says:

I don’t see why it would be cheaper? My dogs are super skinny, they work for their daily food. However the dog in the video is not working for the food during this counter conditioning session, I am just pairing one stimuli with reinforcement. So instead of wasting a whole bowl of food, letting the dog eat it for nothing, I am using it for pavlovian conditioning.

  12. kikopup says:

Please watch this video (its not mine) search for it on youtube.

Jack Russell Terrier (JRT) Aggression When Blowing in Face

It will show you how a dog that wants to bite someone in the face is completely counter conditioned in a matter of minutes using pavlovian conditioning to actually LIKE what previously caused the dog to want to bite.

Its not about spoiling a dog by feeding it, its about creating new neuron connections in the dogs brain, to change their emotional response to something

I love it!! How early can you start training your dog?

a dog i had was afraid of men and would bark or act extremely submissive(to the point of peeing on the floor)becuse of previous abuse. to help him with my husband i had my husband give him treats of very high value, like cheese and real meat, for “no reason” at random.he started out just gently tossing the treat in stryders general direction, and as stryder began to trust my husband got closer and closer until he was taking the food out of his hand.this helped him trust my husband and not fear him

  15. tedbooker5523 says:

why dont you buy a new washing machine yours sounds fu?ked , problem solved

  16. Opelkoenjas says:

Gonna try your method. We adopted (rescued) a 5 month old puppy (Jack Russell) that was nearly going to be thrown in the asile. She has some problems with the barking, along with a few other ones that still can be corrected. I’ll try it out on monday, since then it is a week that she will be amoung us, enough to trust us 100%, plus her new enviroment. FYI: this dog has been beaten, given pills (xanax) and been thrown around, just because she is out of nature a very nervous dog.

  17. badabingrockford says:

if you have a puppy yes i agree with you but if you have a dog that wants to kill another dog or human good luck giving it a treat dumb trainers think positive training is the solution when in reality they have never done a red zone case my dog should listen with oput treats his reward is me petting him period

  18. namelessobscurity says:

@badabingrockford Even a small amount of googling will show you that the pack leader theory has been disproven, and is only followed by people who dont know this, or who actually enjoy intimidating dogs. Though in any case why would being a “pack leader” would accustom a dog to a noise, or teach it specific behaviours? Generally people use some of the dogs food for the day, or feed less if giving other treats. Equally cheap, modern, effective and humane.

  19. namelessobscurity says:

@jdrewes2001 watch the Victoria Stilwell video where she trained Peanut the Pomeranian not to bark for toys. She also uses modern, effective, non-coercive methods, like this trainer. Basically, you only throw the toy when the dog is quiet, if it barks, withhold it. It might take a few tries and some patience, but it worked even with the very stubborn Pomeranian.

  21. sleepybum682 says:

My “new” dog that I got from 3 days ago kept barking when she sees my dad ever since she met him. She also grows more agressive if i hold her down (i think im not supposed to do that?) Please, any help is appreciated. I really want my dog to like/get used to my dad!

And of course, I am now refraining myself from saying “no” when she barks, because I heard that she will feel like i am barking too.

  22. jdrewes2001 says:

my dog never stops barking. he barks even when you throw the toy. if you don”t throw the toy he barks. I know he is not scared. can anyone please help me.

  23. philipy333333 says:

My dog barks when I leave the house, what can i do??

  24. badabingrockford says:

the dog should listen to you with out food be the pack leader its cheaper

  25. Dehzee says:

Clickers are not for praise. They are behaviour markers. It marks in the animals mind exactly what it did right to get food. A laser pointer is used with deaf animals. It is the food that is a reward-the clicker lets them know when they have performed the correct task.
