I have borrowed my cousin’s baby hamsters for a project. These hamsters do not like people and jump away. Is there anything I can do to get them confortable?

You need to get them more treats and more fluff to put in the cage and a wheel they like those. But if they hiss take them to the vet because somethings wrong.

maybe u can feed them carrots but not a lot. they becaome very fond of you once u do. but make sure to feed from your hand. i have a hamster and he used to bite really hard but now he never bites.

Make sure they have a wheel, toys to play with and hide in. Paper rolls and cotton balls.
To get them used to humans feed them by hand. Give them one bit of food at a time with your fingers. Take the food bowl out of the cage so that they are hungry and will eat from your hand. Soon they will learn that hands are good!
You can also put a food piece in your palm and extend your hand and let them crawl up your fingers to your palm to eat.

You’ll have them eating out of your palm in no time. Then once they are comfortable eating from your hand, give a gentle soothing petting on the top of the head.

Treat them better feed them more than you do because they need to be fat etc. Its good for them to be fat ;) give em more treats because it makes em fatter!! Be more cuddley to them they like attention.

to make them comfortable give them some nice bedding like tissue paper and don’t expect that they will not jump when you try to catch them as obviously they don’t know you and they will be afraid.
