Does this waste electricity?
what about UVB lighting
no it shouldnt its just like a having a regular lamp on
well good for you
the important thing is make sure the lamp isnt to close to the basking area — All lights in the tank includeing heat lamp should only be on 12 hours a day — so 12 hours with light and 12 hours dark
my red ear slider is very helthy
is it going to run my elc bill up
should a infared light be good?
can i use a full spectrum bulb instead?
how far does the light have to be from the basking area?
My heat lamp instructions say do not leave the lamp on no more than 10 minutes and it is not a 100 watt lamp…that would fry the turtle…It says 85 degrees is the maximum and the lamp is a black light…I left mine on for 9 hours and the turtle got a sun burn on his shell. So read your manuel and consult a vet before using one.
