I’ve just got a cute little baby greek or hermans tortoise! However, even though his viv is the right tempreture and stuff, he won’t eat!
I use clothe pegs, and hang greens around the cage so it is easy for my guy to eat a little of everything, but has to work if it wants to eat a little more by stretching up towards the food left in the pegs.
Also this way the greens stay clean for the most part, so extra bowls are not required.
Avocado’s and melons are fruit. Fruit can be given in small amounts but not too much. It gives them the runs.
i bought one for 20 euros from europe
if i were to do that different greenes around the cage idea would that mean i had to buy loads of bowls?
@20Fifa well depending where you live. in california(i live there) russian tortoises can be up to $100 bucks, red foot here are $150, greek are also 100 it just depends were u live. if u buy from a reptile breeder u might get a way cheeper one.

thats urates. its suppose to happen. its just the same as urine. its fine as long as it isnt gritty it just means hes hydrated.
i gave my tortoise a strawberry tody and it had somin like diarrhea (i think) it was this strange white stuff that came out when i gave him a bath
i feed our tortoise some of that florette crispy salad and a strawberry once a week
