is there such a thing as pet health insurance? if so has anyone ever purchased it?

if NO then how do you pet your vet bills and how much do they come up to? (routine check ups)? what about for emergencies?

    yes, there is health ins, I know for dogs, not sure about cats, and I don’t have it but friends do and like it. I think they pay $11 a month. Recently took my dogs in for yearly shots, cost $125 a piece. Neighbors dog got hit my a car, had back leg amputated, cost $1200. Think insurance would have been helpful to them. There are stipulations for insurance, like dog has to have a period of 6 months of no health problems to be eligible. Call your vet, they can tell you, and give you phone # to call

    There is such a thing as pet health insurance (see link below for various companies from a Google search.) I never personally bought it–it’s about $240 per year. If your pet has a serious accident or illness, then the insurance can help you get treatment you might not otherwise be able to afford. It’s something I’m seriously going to consider the next time I buy a dog or cat.

    read small print .save your money..there is insurance on or against pretty well everything.
