u can feed lettuce (romaine), crickets, mealworms, and also feeder fish! They sell those in the pet store! shrimp is OK too!
@zarrurer12 try things like small feeder goldfish, minnows, ect. turtles will love live food, as that’s what they eat in the wild

@diosyandpanic Need any help? I <3 Turtles =]
@ISkylerI What kind of habitat is she in now?
@JonteBadassNewEra All Reptiles grow their ENTIRE lives, LOL, all turtles will eventually get remarkably big, not galopagous big, but enough to get a new habitat. I would try to match the species to housing that you would find most fun to give, ie, do you enjoy aquariums or small indoor gardens =] Research!!! Good Luck with your turtle!!!
@JonteBadassNewEra I would suggest that you consider the habitat need of the turtle first =] Contrary to the video I can tell you for a FACT that there are no such thing as ‘small turtles’ only baby turtles that have stricter needs, if you are a first time Turtle Parent I would recommend reading up (Liz Palika’s is my fav author for reptiles<3)
@AmStErgal123 If there is NO blood and it’s only the top layer…remember that the shell grows from the bottom up and takes a LONG time to heal…but if you say it’s getting worse than it’s obviously not healing.
@AmStErgal123 #2 Could he or she have been injured?? #3 Metabolic Bone Disease, Calcium defiency. Has this been happening slowly or right away? If the shell has been unhealthy for a long time it may just be the breaking point. Does he/she have a UVA/UVB bulb? Do you supplement with Vit/Calcium in the diet?? Even if you did, if they weren’t cared for in the past…it could be now causing problems.
@AmStErgal123 I’m not a vet, BUT…#1 Shell Rot, an infection of the shell, most creams are only for bettering a shells appearance, not antibiotic,ie, make the yellow yellower. Do you see blood?! That is the question that really shows the seriousness. Is the shell cracking down to the skin, or only the superficial layers?? If it hits the bloodstream then injectable antibiotics might be necessary.
@AmStErgal123 Find a good vet!! That can be serious…but do make sure that they know what they are doing, they will almost all take money and your turtle, swear up and down that they know what they are doing…and then give them harmfull treatment..
my brother got a 5 inch snake necked turtle. is it okay if i add him with my 2 2-inch red ear sliders? my tank is a 40 gallon tank
a chunk of my turtles shell is missing. they have cream for it but it wont grow back with the cream. do you have any idea what might be causing his shell might be cracking off? he is and indoor painted turtle about 6in long, if that matters.
is a 30 galloon aquarium good for two painted turtles?
im gonna bye a small turtle like the one in the vid soon
