Oh hell! I’m scheduled to go against two dogs this wednesday. I’m gonna post the video. Hopefully, I won’t cry like a little girl. :)

What ever the scenario will be, the dog will protected you and engage the person. (It has to be a dog who has proved himself in the tests) With no hesitation the dog will attack, if he don’t, you training isn’t that good! You can train the dog to protected / attack when you want and under all conditions!

  3. Fightnight92 says:

Well, I’ve just wondered in a real life situation how much a protection dog could help a man.. I guess it would just depend on the scenario.

Usually just seeing these types of dogs alert to someones presence is enough of a deterrent. If they go hyper most sensible people will back off and leave. They probably wouldn’t try to kill just keep the bad guy at bay until someone comes to rescue him. Don’t get me wrong these dogs are capable of responding to escalating levels of aggression without hesitation. I don’t own a Belgian now but have in the past, now I’m training GSDs for protection. Same attitude a little bigger.

I wonder how effective a dog like this would be for home security – really good weapon I would say. But they wouldn’t normally kill someone so you’d want to be there to back them up.

    awesome video,dog special forces.

I dare anyone to take on two of these dogs, they are more than a match for any man. Anybody who has been bitten by a Shepherd Belgian or German can attest to the pain inflicted sleeve or no sleeve. These dogs are fearless and only want to please their handler. The most intelligent dogs I have ever been around. With little training they instinctively know what to do.

  8. cinnacook says:

@killerflemm no they don’t, there owners are the least likely to be bit by them

  9. killerflemm says:

wow those dogs are vecious they even bite ther owner

  10. jrs582412 says:

Wow! I was amazed when the dog jumped on top of the car and onto the man!!!

Whats the problem? In the Netherlands, the airforce, you have to be certificed decoy to test new dogs, handler and dog and matches at other airbases.

  21. JustWaIkAway says:

    “certificed decoy”??? hahahaha

  22. viper1877 says:

i’m a certificed decoy for IPO and with the Airforce (same as KNPV). I’m testing new dogs for the airforce, test the teams handler and dog and also on matches on other airforce bases in the country. Yes training KNPV is a other kind of training then for combat. Esspecialy when we going to afghanistan. Best of luck to you to and happy new year.

  23. nightvisionmonocular says:

I’m sure that you as a military handler realize that the hobbies are much different from real life or combat. The decoys from the Netherlands that have given seminars all stated this at various times and also managed to aid our dogs in becoming more aggressive and even more obedient. Sorry my post ran long. Best of luck to you and stay safe Viper.

  24. nightvisionmonocular says:

The dogs that can be backed down by a decoy are washed. Not every dog has the nerves to fight a serious conflict. That is just how it is. Just as not all humans will fight if given the opportunity to flee.
I assume you are also a decoy in addition to a handler. A professional decoy from the Netherlands is regarded highly in the United States. I am familiar with KNPV, Schutzhund, and ring sport.

  25. nightvisionmonocular says:

Finally, someone with a legit question. As a Military handler and someone who does KNPV for a hobby then you must understand that all dogs do not have the nerves to face an encounter. We import our dogs from the Netherlands as well as the Checz Republic due to the dogs from both areas usually being hard dogs. The shepherds are usually Checz and the Malinois and Dutch Shepherds are usually from Holland or Belgium. I have personally seen dogs tested and backed off by a decoy.
