A lot of people keep rats, too, though. I know people who say they’re really smart and cute. On the show they’re seen as gross and mean, not nearly as cute as the mice. In real life, I think animal lovers like both rats and mice. But I guess sometimes we have prejudices against certain animals.
Not a lot, plus rats are way bigger and not many people keep them. everything spreads a disease in a way.

Technically, it wasn’t the rats who had the disease. It was the fleas on them that carried the disease.
